Secretary of State for the Colonies, that they have
appointed Vice Admiral Sir Edward H. Seymour, K.C.B.,
to succeed Admiral Sir Alexander Buller, K.C.B., as Commander-
in-Chief of Her Majesty's Ships and Vessels on the China
Station.
